Wethersfield Farmers’ Market on Thursday Afternoons Through Autumn

On Thursdays from 3 to 6 pm farmers, artists and vendors from all over New England congregate on the lawn at Cove Park beside the Solomon Welles House. Recently I visited the market with two of my nine grandchildren, Lilliana and Luciano, to pick up some fresh vegetables, pure maple syrup and treat the kids to face painting and some fabulous Italian Ice.

There are potters, weavers, local honey, maple syrup, pastries, cheese, bread and lots more. There is something for everyone at the Wethersfield Farmers’ Market.

WFM 4Lilliana was just a bit afraid of the llama and her baby. Maybe next time she will want to pet the super soft little head.

On the porch of the Solomon Welles House a troubadour entertained the folks who strolled through the booths.

After Italian Ice and Face Painting we met some friends from town. When you come to stay with us from Summer through Fall we hope you will take some time to enjoy the local Farmers’ Market.
